UGA student to be Perpetual Pilgrim in National Eucharistic Pilgrimage
University of Georgia student Jaella Mac Au will join the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage as a Perpetual Pilgrim. She is among 24 young adults who will make a cross-country trek toward the 10th National Eucharistic Congress.

St. Philip Benizi pastor appointed Charlotte’s fifth bishop

Published April 9, 2024Pope Francis has appointed Father Michael T. Martin, OFM Conv., as bishop of the Diocese of Charlotte. The announcement was made the morning of April 9. Father Martin is pastor of St. Philip Benizi Church in Jonesboro in the Archdiocese of Atlanta.

Video series offers ‘deep dive’ into the mysteries of the Mass

Hartmayer of Atlanta will be among the bishops featured in the series, produced by the National Eucharistic Revival.

Published March 25, 2024Pope Francis authorized the Dicastery for the Causes of Saints to decree as “venerable” Mother Mary Alphonsa Hawthorne—also known as Rose Hawthorne. She was founder of the Congregation of the Dominican Sisters of St. Rose of Lima, who serve in New York and Atlanta.
