EWTN event draws families to celebrate the Eucharist

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (CNS) -- In an effort to be a family connected with its audience, rather than just a network of programming, the Eternal World Television Network recently hosted its second ETWN Family Celebration in Birmingham, its base of operations. During the July 21-22 event, attendees had the opportunity to listen to EWTN speakers, meet network hosts, pray and attend Mass. "The event is a great way to come together to celebrate being Catholic and the tremendous gift of our faith," Michael Warsaw, president of EWTN, said in a statement released prior to the event. Network officials decided to host the event after the success of its first Family Celebration held last year to celebrate ETWN's 25th anniversary. The theme this year was: "Eucharist: Body of Christ."
