
Zyskowski elected president of Catholic Press Association

RONKONKOMA, N.Y. (CNS) -- Veteran Catholic journalist Robert Zyskowski, associate publisher and general manager of The Catholic Spirit, St. Paul-Minneapolis archdiocesan newspaper, has been elected president of the Catholic Press Association. In ballot results announced May 8, Nancy L. Wiechec, visual media manager of Catholic News Service in Washington, was elected CPA secretary. Penny Wiegert, editor of The Observer, diocesan newspaper of Rockford, Ill., is the association's new vice president and Stephen M. Kent, a freelance journalist and former executive editor of The Catholic Northwest Progress, Seattle archdiocesan newspaper, is the treasurer. They were automatically elected in April when they were the only nominees for those offices.
