
Bishop Zubik to lead June pilgrimage to Poland, Austria, Germany

GREEN BAY, Wis. (CNS) -- Bishop David A. Zubik of Green Bay will lead a pilgrimage June 1-12 to churches, shrines, the Auschwitz death camp and other historic sites in Poland, Austria and Germany. Sponsored by The Compass, the official newspaper of the Green Bay Diocese, the pilgrimage costs $3,099, including round-trip airfare from Chicago, hotel accommodations, most meals, sightseeing services and some tips and taxes. Among the sites to be visited are the boyhood home and church of the late Pope John Paul II in Wadowice, Poland; the Jasna Gora Monastery in Czestochowa, Poland; the Divine Mercy Shrine in Krakow, Poland; the Hofburg Palace and shrine of Mariazell in Vienna, Austria; and churches and museums in Munich, Germany.
