The Christophers' poster contest spotlights making a difference

Published: 2006-10-04

NEW YORK (CNS) -- The Christophers' 17th annual poster contest for high school students asks students in grades nine through 12 to interpret in an original poster the theme "You Can Make a Difference." A total of eight prizes, including a first prize of $1,000, will be awarded. Posters, which must be 15 inches by 20 inches and contain the words of the theme, will be judged on overall impact, effectiveness in conveying the theme, originality and artistic merit. Entries must be received by Jan. 19, 2007, and winners will be announced May 4, 2007. Submitted posters become the property of the Christophers and will not be returned. Last year, more than 2,000 entries with paintings, photos and computer-generated art were submitted by students from across the United States and around the world. Rules and entry forms are available online at: www.christophers.org/contests.html, or by writing to: High School Poster Contest, The Christophers, 12 East 48th St., New York, NY 10017.
