Siblings who are city, country principals compare their experiences

ATLANTA (CNS) -- Some of the differences between city schools and country schools are readily apparent, such as enrollment numbers and faculty size, said two brothers who are both principals -- one runs one of the largest Catholic grade schools in Omaha, Neb., and the other heads the only Catholic grade school in his Wisconsin county. Still, they share things common to running any school regardless of its setting and situation, they said during an April 19 workshop at the National Catholic Educational Association convention in Atlanta. David Peters is principal of St. Stephen the Martyr School in Omaha. Joe Peters is principal of St. Victor School in Monroe, Wis. "We have Friday afternoon phone calls," said David Peters. "Joe will give me a call, or I'll call him. We'll go over some situations" each has faced during the week.
