WASHINGTON (CNS) -- Darryl Silver, the co-creator and executive producer of the documentary series "God or the Girl," which debuts on Easter, April 16, on the A&E cable channel, said the finished product changed greatly from its origin. "My partner and I, we just sit around and try to figure out shows," Silver said. "We try to think, 'What would the craziest show be?' The genesis of this was, what would the craziest show be?" he explained. But once they got the idea for this series, they decided "this could be a really good show if we took it seriously,'" he said. Now, Silver's so happy about how the series turned out, he said, "I'll talk about this show till the cows come home." "God or the Girl" follows four young men as they discern whether they are called to lead a celibate life in the Catholic priesthood.
