
Catholic press figures show slight drop in North America

RONKONKOMA, N.Y. (CNS) -- The 2006 Catholic Press Directory has registered a slight drop in the number of North American Catholic publications and an overall circulation decline of about 1.4 percent over the past year. The directory is an annual publication of the Catholic Press Association, which is based in Ronkonkoma. It lists names, key personnel, circulation, publication frequency, advertising rates and phone numbers, addresses and other contact information for Catholic newspapers, magazines and newsletters in the United States and Canada. The new directory lists a combined total of 609 publications, 11 fewer than last year, with a combined circulation of 26,134,515, almost 360,000 below last year's total.
