Charities names director of mission integration, Catholic identity

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (CNS) -- Catholic Charities USA, a national network of social service agencies and institutions, has named Robert Colbert as its new director of mission and Catholic identity. According to an announcement on his appointment, Colbert will provide staff members at Catholic Charities agencies in dioceses across the country with training opportunities, program resources and other tools to help them explore and maintain their mission and Catholic identity. He will also be responsible for assisting the agencies in strengthening their collaboration with parish social ministry programs in their dioceses. Colbert joins Catholic Charities in Alexandria after a tenure as director of mission services for Bon Secours Health System and Spiritual Center in Marriottsville, Md.
