
Efforts of U.S. bishops' communications department awarded

WASHINGTON (CNS) -- The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops' Department of Communications has received several awards for its media efforts. It received the Clarion Award from the Catholic Academy of Communications Arts Professionals "for its outstanding service and support to diocesan communication directors by providing valuable resources to assist them in their mission." Other honors were "best of class" award for the Catholic Communication Campaign's "It All Starts With Faith" project, given in the 2005 DeRose-Hinkhouse competition; a DeRose-Hinkhouse merit citation for Catholic Radio Weekly; and a CINE Golden Eagle Award for the campaign's public service announcement "El Hermanito" ("The Little Brother").
