General excellence prizes: Faith and Family, ONE, Way of St. Francis

ORLANDO, Fla. (CNS) -- The magazine Faith & Family received the general excellence award for general interest magazines May 27 in the Catholic Press Association's annual contest. It is the fourth year in a row the magazine based in North Haven, Conn., has won the honor. Ligourian magazine, published in Ligouri, Mo., took second place and Faith magazine, published in Lansing, Mich., was awarded third prize in the general interest magazine category during the CPA's annual convention in Orlando, Fla. An honorable mention went to Notre Dame magazine in Notre Dame, Ind. Other general excellence magazine categories and their first-place winners were: mission magazines, ONE Magazine, New York; religious order magazines, The Way of St. Francis, Sacramento, Calif.; professional and special interest magazines, Momentum, Washington; scholarly magazines, National Catholic Bioethics Quarterly, Philadelphia; prayer and spirituality magazines, Magnificat, Yonkers, N.Y.; general interest newsletters, Province Review, Notre Dame, Ind.; and special interest newsletters, Focus on FutureChurch, Cleveland.
