ORLANDO, Fla. (CNS) -- Antoinette Bosco, a columnist for Catholic News Service, won the Catholic Press Association's book award for popular presentation of the Catholic faith with her book "One Day He Beckoned: One Woman's Story of the Difference Jesus Made," published by Ave Maria Press in Notre Dame, Ind. "The author relives her journey of pain and joy in which Jesus became the one, true and living reality of her life," the judges said in their commentary. "Antoinette's poignant personal witness will leave no doubt in the reader's mind that life with Jesus may not always provide the answers or make life easy, but it does give the one who journeys with him the ability to live life to its fullest -- day in and day out." Bosco has written more than a dozen books, including "The Pummeled Heart" and "Choosing Mercy: A Mother of Murder Victims Pleads to End the Death Penalty," both of which arose in part over the murder of her son and daughter-in-law. She also has written "Coincidences: Touched by a Miracle" and "Finding Peace Through Pain: The True Story of a Journey Into Joy."
