National Directory for Catechesis is published

WASHINGTON (CNS) -- The publishing office of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops published the new National Directory for Catechesis May 1. The 314-page directory will replace "Sharing the Light of Faith," the national catechetical directory adopted by the bishops in 1977 and published, following Vatican approval, in 1979. It is available now in English. The Spanish version is due out in mid-July. A 44-page summary of the directory, available in English and Spanish versions, was also released May 1. The National Directory for Catechesis costs $19.95; the English and Spanish summaries, $3.95; English or Spanish bulletin inserts, $10 per pack of 100; shipping and handling costs depend on the total amount of the order.
