BRADLEY, Ill. (CNS) -- Obsessed with his television news career, John Morales was a 26-year-old Chicago sports broadcaster who was totally focused on advancement and material success. At the same time, he was involved in a romantic relationship that ultimately led to an unplanned pregnancy and abortion. "It still touches me," said Morales, now 46 and a correspondent for Relevant Radio, a national Catholic radio network. "It's very painful. I'll never see (the baby) or know (his or her) name," he added. He admitted his lifestyle back then contradicted a strict Catholic upbringing. "I was a wild man. I was looking for love in all the wrong places," he said. His behavior earned him a dismissal for misconduct from Quincy College in Illinois. "I lost my way. All I wanted to do was have a good time," added Morales, a parishioner at Queen of All Saints Basilica in Chicago.
