ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. (CNS) -- Business students at Franciscan-run St. Bonaventure University are working with some alumni of the school to create job opportunities for young adults in the Harlem section of New York City. Students from the school's Business Information System Club recently took a service trip to Harlem to take four donated computers to Create Inc., founded in 1973 by Franciscan Father Benedict Taylor, a St. Bonaventure alumnus. The students also provided resources for personal development, job training and education for those who need it. Create Inc., established to promote the physical, psychological and spiritual well-being of Harlem residents, is now a multiservice agency with various facilities. Its young adult center was created in 1974 and focuses mainly on computers. It serves up to 50 young men ages 18-25. Many are school dropouts who are homeless and unemployed.
