COLUMBUS, Ohio (CNS) -- Lynda Chever, a licensed practical nurse who has devoted her life to the care of elderly Catholic priests and nuns at Mohun Health Care Center in Columbus is a national winner in the 2004 Cherokee Inspired Comfort Award program. The awards program, created by Cherokee Uniforms, recognizes nurses and other nonphysician health care professionals who have had an impact on "the lives of others through exceptional service, sacrifice and innovation." "Specializing in geriatric nursing, Lynda gives special attention to those who have provided guidance and support to so many and allows them to maintain dedicated service to God throughout their golden years," said Cherokee in the citation for Chever's award. She was among 16 professionals chosen from the nearly 1,700 nominations submitted.
