QUEENS, N.Y. (CNS) -- Msgr. Thomas Hartman thinks that he has been afflicted with Parkinson's disease so that he can help find a cure for it. "I believe we're going to find a cure and that also will lead to a cure for multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, mental retardation, Alzheimer's and Lou Gehrig's disease," said the priest, who is half of the priest-rabbi team known as "The God Squad." Msgr. Hartman, who has been a spokesman for several causes including AIDS hospice care, was the dinner speaker Sept. 17 at the annual convention of the Brooklyn Diocesan Union of Holy Name Societies and the National Association of the Holy Name Society.
