ERIE, Pa. (CNS) -- Gary Loncki stepped down June 30 as editor of the Lake Shore Visitor, Erie's diocesan newspaper. As editor of the paper and communications director for the Erie Diocese for 18 years, "I had a front-row seat from which to observe and to participate in the life of the church and (its) work to make a difference in the spiritual lives of the people" in the diocese, Loncki said in an interview with the paper. "I am grateful," he added. He said he plans to explore new opportunities and pray for guidance, much as he did before he took the job at the Lake Shore Visitor. "I always felt that God led me to where he wanted me to be then and he will take care of me now," said Loncki.
