Lights, camera, popcorn: Pope's private movie theater gets facelift

VATICAN CITY (CNS) -- Getting a fresh facelift this year is the pope's own movie theater. Thanks to generous donations from the Knights of Columbus and the Italian film industry, the cozy Vatican screening room will be spiffed up and revamped with new furnishings and equipment. "We'll be getting a new projector, all new seating and a brand new screen," said U.S. Archbishop John P. Foley, head of the Pontifical Council for Social Communications.
