Faith & Family magazine gets its third CPA general excellence award

WASHINGTON (CNS) -- Faith & Family, published in North Haven, Conn., by Circle Media Inc., won the Catholic Press Association's general excellence award for general-interest magazines for the third year in a row. In awards judging announced May 28 at the CPA convention in Washington, U.S. Catholic, based in Chicago, took second place in the category and St. Anthony Messenger, Cincinnati, won third place. Honorable mentions went to Lay Witness, published in Steubenville, Ohio, and Liguorian, published in Liguori, Mo. Other general excellence first-place magazines in their respective categories were CNEWA World, New York, mission; The Way of St. Francis, Sacramento, Calif., religious order; Church magazine, New York, professional and special interest; Horizons, Villanova, Pa., scholarly; Share the Word, Washington, prayer and spirituality; Sacred Ground, Kansas City, Kan., general-interest newsletters; and Call to Action Church Watch, Chicago, special-interest newsletters.
