Magazine of Catholic Near East Welfare Association renamed One
Published: 2004-05-19
NEW YORK (CNS) -- CNEWA World, the bimonthly magazine of the Catholic Near East Welfare Association, has been renamed One, beginning with its May-June 2004 edition. The magazine serves as the association's "primary educational tool" and "reflects the papal agency's charism to always act as if we are all one, unless we are forced to encounter a difference," editor Michael La Civita said in a press release. The Catholic Near East Welfare Association, based in New York, was founded by Pope Pius XI in 1926 to serve the churches and peoples of the Middle East, northeast Africa, India and Eastern Europe.
