
Leadership conference for high school students offered in Montana

GREAT FALLS, Mont. (CNS) -- The University of Great Falls is hosting a values-based leadership conference for high school students of all faiths entering their junior or senior years in the fall. The June 23-27 program, called "Cultivating Leadership for Life: A Faith-Based Leadership Experience," will include activities such as rafting down the Missouri River, participating in traditional Native American youth games, conquering a ropes course, and preparing prayer services and liturgies. "Each of us has an inner call to leadership," said Catherine Day, vice president of enrollment and student services at the Catholic university. The cost for the conference is $150, which includes food, lodging, a T-shirt and entertainment. Deadline for applications is June 15.
