BALTIMORE (CNS) -- Peace Times Weekly, a Korean Catholic newspaper based in Flushing, N.Y., has donated $22,000 to Catholic Relief Services to support Iranian earthquake victims. The contribution brings to about $125,000 the amount given to CRS by readers of Peace Times Weekly over the past 10 years to address emergency needs in the Middle East, India and East Africa. The newspaper has raised more than $1.2 million for charitable works since 1993. "The support Peace Times Weekly has generated for those in need around the world is a wonderful expression of global solidarity," said Ken Hackett, CRS president. "We are grateful for this partnership and for the generosity of the Korean-American community."
