KANSAS CITY, Mo. (CNS) -- Archbishop Raymond L. Burke of St. Louis exhorted the new coadjutor bishop of Kansas City-St. Joseph May 3 to be "a sound and tireless teacher of the faith, announcing the truth in a world beset by confusion and division." Archbishop Burke presided at the nearly three-hour ceremony at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception for the episcopal ordination of Msgr. Robert W. Finn, former editor of the St. Louis Review archdiocesan newspaper. As a coadjutor, Bishop Finn will automatically become head of the diocese upon the resignation or death of current Bishop Raymond J. Boland, 72. Advising Bishop Finn to pursue holiness, Archbishop Burke said, "Be especially zealous in giving your fatherly love to those who are most in need: the innocent and defenseless unborn, the aged, the seriously ill, those with special needs, the homeless, the refugee and migrant, the poor and the weak."
