Franciscan University of Steubenville plans pro-life conference

STEUBENVILLE, Ohio (CNS) -- Franciscan University of Steubenville will kick off its 30th year of summer conferences with its first pro-life conference, "Rebuilding a Culture of Life," June 5-6. Speakers will include Father Frank Pavone, founding director of Priests for Life; Joe Scheidler, national director of the Pro-Life Action League; Gregg Cunningham, executive director of the Center for Bioethical Reform; and former abortion provider Lorraine LaNeve, who will discuss how to get people out of the abortion industry. "This two-day conference is designed to inject new life into the movement and to provide cutting-edge strategies from pro-life leaders who haven't waned in their zeal," said Mark Nehrbas, senior director of summer conferences. Registration for the pro-life conference is $59 if postmarked by April 23, $75 until May 31 and $90 thereafter. Special rates apply for married couples attending together and for priests.
