Published: 2004-01-13

NEW YORK (CNS) -- Six comedies will be on tap for the Catholic Communication Campaign's third "Faith on Film" movie festival, and they will be shown under the banner, "The Blessings of Laughter." The film festival will take place March 19-21 at the Directors Guild Theater in midtown Manhattan. The festival leads off with an evening screening March 19 of the 1978 version of "Heaven Can Wait," starring Warren Beatty and Julie Christie. March 20 will feature three classic black-and-white films: Preston Sturges' "Sullivan's Travels" from 1941, the Marx Brothers' "A Night at the Opera" from 1935, and 1963's "Heavens Above!" starring Peter Sellers. The festival's concluding day, March 21, has been christened Family Day and will feature family films: "Yours, Mine and Ours" from 1968, which starred Lucille Ball and Henry Fonda, and 1995's "Babe," about a pig who wanted to be a sheepdog. Tickets for "Faith on Film" 2004 are $7 per film. On Family Day children 10 and under get in free to each film.
