
Arlington Diocese appoints new communications director

ARLINGTON, Va. (CNS) -- Soren Johnson, former communications officer at the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, was recently appointed communications director for the Arlington Diocese. In announcing the appointment, Bishop Paul S. Loverde said Johnson is "committed to his faith and brings to the diocese a strong background in communications, Catholic education and theology. His experience, talent and energy will serve the diocese well." Johnson, a Chicago native who has a master's degree in theology, taught Latin and religion at Archbishop Carroll High School in Washington prior to working at the USCCB.
