WASHINGTON (CNS) -- Reader's Digest, the world's best selling magazine with an estimated 110 million readers worldwide, named "John Paul II: A Light for the World" as one of 10 books it recommends for the holidays. In an article titled "Great Books for the Holidays" in its December issue, it said the book "showcases photographs of the Polish pope's travels in the past 25 years, as he logged more than 700,000 miles ministering to his global flock." Edited by Mercy Sister Mary Ann Walsh, "John Paul II: A Light for the World" was published by Sheed & Ward in conjunction with the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.
