Nun says at Covenant House youths receive love, care, life lessons
Published: 2003-12-10
ST. LOUIS (CNS) -- The teenager once was living in a trash container. Sister Patricia Ann Cruise, president of Covenant House, said the teen now stands up in front of groups and tells them how proud he is that he has turned his life around. "That's what Covenant House is all about. Not only is Covenant House able to love and care for someone, but that person learns to love and care for himself," Sister Cruise told the St. Louis Review, newspaper of the Archdiocese of St. Louis. She was in St. Louis recently to visit local facilities run by the New York-based shelter program for homeless and runaway youths.
