Entire curriculum at Minnesota Catholic college includes ethics

ST. PAUL, Minn. (CNS) -- Ethics soon will be written into the entire curriculum at the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul. Although the Catholic college always has had an underlying sense of ethics, business administration professors Greg DiNovis and Dave Dahlberg came up with a proposal to formally write ethics into all the courses. "We first talked about having a course," said Dahlberg, who teaches financial management and some accounting classes. "Then we said that a business ethics course (at St. Catherine's) would not reach enough students because most don't take business classes." The professors also said they believe that people base ethics on family situations and religious background more than anything they learn in a class.
