Published: 2003-10-22
ORLANDO, Fla. (CNS) -- The executive board of the National Catholic Student Coalition, meeting in Orlando, has chosen Kimanh Nguyen, a junior at the University of Southern California, as its new chairwoman. Nguyen, who currently chairs the Western region for the coalition, will assume her new post following the group's annual leadership conference Dec. 31-Jan. 4 in Orlando. This is Nguyen's first year of involvement in the National Catholic Student Coalition; she attended its annual conference for the first time in January 2003. But she is an active member of the Catholic community at her university, occasionally serving as lector for the 11 a.m. and 10 p.m. Masses. She also coordinates the Vietnamese Student Association's annual culture show at the university.
