WASHINGTON (CNS) -- With new content and photos added each day until the official publication of "John Paul II: A Light for the World," a new Web site at www.popebook.com offers a glimpse at the book about the 25-year papacy of Pope John Paul II. The 256-page book, scheduled to hit bookstores Oct. 21, celebrates the pope's 25 years and showcases photographs from the archives of L'Osservatore Romano, the official Vatican newspaper. The book is edited by Mercy Sister Mary Ann Walsh, deputy director for media relations at the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops. Visitors to the Web site may preview photos from the book, test their knowledge of Pope John Paul's papacy through an interactive quiz, follow the pontificate along an educational timeline, send an e-card of a Pope John Paul photo, or download commemorative screen savers and wallpaper.
