Blue Ridge parish to host a healing mission Feb. 14-17

BLUE RIDGE—St. Anthony Church in Blue Ridge will host a parish healing mission on Sunday to Wednesday, Feb. 14-17. Order of St. Augustine Father Albert MacPherson, of the Augustinian Healing Ministry, will lead the mission. All are welcome to attend.

Father MacPherson will preach at the weekend Masses at St. Anthony on Saturday, Feb. 13, at 4 p.m. and on Sunday, Feb. 14, at 11 a.m.

The mission will begin on Sunday at 1 p.m. with prayer and supplication. On Monday, Feb. 15, Father MacPherson will celebrate Mass at 7 p.m. followed by the sacrament of reconciliation. On Tuesday and Wednesday, Feb. 16-17, Father Macpherson will celebrate Mass at 7 p.m., followed by a prayer service for healing.

Father MacPherson began full-time healing ministry in 1983 after 14 years’ experience in spiritual renewal work, including 10 years of pastoral experience in parishes in Ontario, New York and Florida. Born in Nova Scotia in 1941 into a family of 13 children, he was ordained to the priesthood in 1974. Father MacPherson is also a member of the Association of Christian Therapists.

For over 30 years, Father MacPherson has ministered in the United States, Canada, South America, Europe, Asia and the Caribbean Islands. Thousands have been spiritually, psychologically and physically helped through his healing ministry.
