Roswell location of Pregnancy Aid Clinic opens

ROSWELL—Pregnancy Aid Clinic celebrated the grand opening of a new office at 281 S. Atlanta St. in Roswell on Oct. 1.

The clinic has a staff of counselors, nurses, sonogram technicians and volunteers who assist women dealing with crisis pregnancies.

Local dignitaries attended the opening. The mayor of Roswell, Jere Wood, welcomed the nonprofit. Father Neil Herlihy, pastor of St. Brigid Church in Johns Creek, blessed the clinic with the assistance of Deacon Dennis Dorner, the chancellor of the Archdiocese of Atlanta. The fourth degree Knights of Columbus from St. Andrew Church, Roswell, also took part in the event.

The clinic is open to the public for walk-in services or by appointment, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The clinic also has a baby boutique on site, which sells gently used baby clothing and supplies. The store is open weekdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The clinic can be reached by calling 470-282-1211.

The Pregnancy Aid Clinic, based in Hapeville, has served women and men for more than 30 years. The Roswell location is an additional office. The clinic also has a mobile clinic that travels to a different location each day assisting women in need. The mission is guided by a board of directors, whose president is Julie Ostrowski, and managed by an executive director, Marla Brown.
