Summer Bible study for women to be offered at Holy Spirit

Published July 9, 2015

ATLANTA—“The Book of Tobit tells a beautiful story about ordinary people devoted to their family, their faith and living God’s will,” Keri Allen, leader of Proclaim My Word ministry, said.

A life application Bible study on Tobit, titled, “God Hears Your Prayers!,” is offered to the women of the archdiocese and will be presented by Allen at Holy Spirit Church, Atlanta, from July 23 to Aug. 27.

This summer study “shows us that God always walks with us during good times and difficult times,” Allen said. “He cares deeply about coming to our aid in times when we are most in need.”

Allen said that in this delightful story we encounter ways to bless God and ourselves by taking care of the poor and those in need.

This is the fourth Bible study at Holy Spirit Church within a year. Over 300 women have participated in these group studies offered by Proclaim My Word ministries.

Allen also presented a Bible study at St. Brigid Church, Johns Creek, last winter. She is planning a facilitator training program for anyone who would like to bring these programs to their church.

The six-week study will be on Thursday mornings from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. There is no charge for attendance or materials. Homework is optional. Nursery is available upon request. Free will offerings are accepted to help fund the programs.
