Holy Spirit Prep team wins Art Throwdown

ATLANTA—Holy Spirit Prep School recently won first place at the Annual Art Throwdown, an interscholastic art competition sponsored by the High Museum and others at the Atlanta Dogwood Festival.

Nine area schools, including Holy Spirit, were invited to compete Saturday, April 11. Seven Upper School students and two faculty members, Rockie Rombalski and Raul Jimenez, competed on behalf of HSP. Holy Spirit Prep edged out The Galloway School for the top honor.

The students on the team were Lenny Jimenez, Carolina Pinzon, Tom Yao, Stephen Wiedl, Alex Pinzon, Kyla Hill and Anna Podratsky.

Several students also placed individually in each competition. Kyla Hill placed first in the 15-minute figure drawing contest. Anna Podratsky placed second in the five-minute face-to-face bracket tournament, third in the five-minute figure drawing contest, third in the 30-minute figure drawing contest and fourth in the 15-minute figure drawing contest. The team of Lenny Jimenez and Alex Pinzon placed second in the MODA chair design contest. In the teacher-only competition, Rombalski placed second in the 10-minute figure drawing contest.
