Alex, son of Michael and Daniela Wieczorek, is a 2014 local Knights of Columbus Scholarship recipient. The family attends St. Anna Church, in Monroe.

The Boston congress held June 28-30 is an honors-only program for high school students focused on science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM). The purpose is to inspire and motivate the top students in the country who aspire to be scientists and technologists.

During the three-day congress, Wieczorek will join other students to hear Nobel laureates and National Medal of Science winners talk about leading scientific research; be given advice from leaders at top tech universities; be inspired by fellow teen science prodigies; and learn about cutting-edge advances in science and technology.

It offers free services and programs to students about their future in science or technology. For information visit www.scitechleaders.com.
