Trivia night helps raise mission trip funds

ALPHARETTA—Members of Knights of Columbus Council 6532, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, continued a 12-year tradition on Saturday, Jan. 31, by hosting a trivia night with Italian food at the Alpharetta parish.

The proceeds fund an annual youth mission trip to serve in West Virginia. The kids and a group of adults spend the week doing building and home repairs for residents of the area.

Some 230 adults and children attended the evening. Area businesses donate items for a raffle, including restaurant meals and movie tickets.

Over the last five years, $8,000 has been donated to help defray the mission trip costs. Members of the Knights of Columbus hope to increase this cumulative figure to exceed $10,000.
