Frank and Cathy Belatti received the 2013-2014 St. Peter Chanel Award, the highest honor given by Marist School.

The award is given annually in recognition of individuals whose support and leadership have advanced the mission of Marist School. The award was given at a recognition dinner in late October at the Cherokee Town and Country Club.

The Belattis have been involved with the school for 30 years. They were instrumental in the development of the Marist Way program, a spirituality curriculum targeted to all members of the school community, as well as the growth of Marist’s community service program. Cathy, a longtime Habitat for Humanity volunteer, co-founded Marist Women Build, the first chapter of its kind nationally, and was a founding member and past chair of Habitat for Humanity International’s Women Build Steering Council.

Currently, Cathy sits on Marist School’s board of trustees, and together she and Frank lead the school’s $35 million capital campaign.

Angela Dorsey, vice president for institutional advancement for Marist School, said, “Their vision and leadership of our capital campaign have had a tremendous impact on the transformation of our campus and the continuation of Marist School’s mission into the future.”
