Published July 10, 2014

Korean War veterans were honored guests at a dinner at All Saints Church, Dunwoody, hosted by the Knights of Columbus, including a representative from the government of South Korea.

On May 31, the Father Charles J. Watters Assembly 2688 and the Father Joseph T. O’Callahan Assembly 3441 together celebrated the living Korean War vets.

Some three dozen 36  veterans were identified, and 29 were able to attend a special appreciation dinner attended by 160 diners and the Korean Consul General He Becom Kim.

Honor guards escorted each veteran into the dinner, which featured a multi-media slideshow and several guest speakers. Gifts for veterans included a three-disk DVD set of a Korean War documentary film.
