Published September 26, 2013

ROSWELL—The Respect Life Ministry of the archdiocese and the Respect Life Ministry of St. Peter Chanel parish are working together to sponsor a workshop on preventing the sexual exploitation of children.

The workshop will be held on Saturday, Oct. 19, at St. Peter Chanel Church, 11330 Woodstock Rd. in Roswell. Mass begins at 8:30 a.m., with the presentation to follow until noon.

Parents, teachers and youth leaders can be part of the effort to end the sexual exploitation of children. Learn the facts, the warning signs, the common myths and misconceptions. This program will help arm those attending with the tools to mobilize your community, parish or school to help end domestic minor sex trafficking.

A special screening of “The Candy Shop,” a film about the sexual exploitation of children, will be shown at the event and will be followed by an educational presentation and discussion.

Suggested donation to attend is $5. To register and for more information, call 404- 920-7362 or send an email to RespectLife@archatl.com.
