Archbishop Announces New Priest Assignments

ATLANTA—Archbishop Wilton D. Gregory has announced the following priest assignments. The assignments are effective June 21, unless otherwise noted.
NEW PASTORS
Father Fabio Alvarez Posada, administrator of St. Brendan Church, Cumming, has been appointed pastor of St. Paul the Apostle Church, Cleveland. This is his first pastorate.
Father Henry Atem, parochial vicar at St. Patrick Church, Norcross, has been appointed pastor of St. George Church, Newnan. This is his first pastorate.
Father John Paul C. Ezeonyido, parochial vicar at St. Stephen the Martyr Church, Lilburn, has been appointed pastor of Christ Our Hope Church, Lithonia. This is his first pastorate.
Father Timothy Gallagher, parochial vicar at St. Pius X Church, Conyers, has been appointed pastor of St. Bernadette Church, Cedartown. This is his first pastorate.
Father Michael Onyekuru, JCD, judge in the Metropolitan Tribunal, has been appointed pastor of St. John the Evangelist Church, Hapeville. This is his first pastorate.
Marist Father S. Patrick Scully, parochial vicar at Prince of Peace Church, Flowery Branch, has been appointed pastor of St. Peter Church, LaGrange, and as administrator at St. Elizabeth Seton Mission, Warm Springs.

Father Austin Fogarty, pastor of St. George Church, Newnan, has been appointed pastor of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Alpharetta.
Father Vincent Sullivan, administrator of St. Paul the Apostle Church, Cleveland, has been appointed pastor at St. Joseph Church, Washington.
Father Edward J. Thein, pastor of St. John the Evangelist Church, Hapeville, has been appointed rector of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Atlanta.
PAROCHIAL VICARS
Father Joshua Allen, currently finishing his licentiate in patristic theology at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, Italy, has been assigned as a parochial vicar at St. Brigid Church, Johns Creek.
Father Juan Francisco Anzora, parochial vicar at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Atlanta, has been assigned as a parochial vicar at Prince of Peace Church, Flowery Branch.
Father Gilbert Exume, parochial vicar at St. Brigid Church, Johns Creek, has been assigned as a parochial vicar at St. Matthew Church, Winder.
Father Salomon Garcia, parochial vicar at St. Matthew Church, Winder, has been assigned as a parochial vicar at St. Pius X Church, Conyers.
Father Jose Duvan Gonzalez, pastor of St. Bernadette Church, Cedartown, has been assigned as a parochial vicar at St. Joseph Church, Dalton.
Father William T. Hao, parochial vicar at All Saints Church, Dunwoody, has been assigned as a parochial vicar at St. Jude Church, Sandy Springs. He will continue to serve the Chinese Catholic community with weekly Mass.

Father Paul Burke, JCL, professor and chair of the theology department at Holy Spirit College, Atlanta, has also been assigned as chaplain for Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cancer Home, Atlanta.
