We enjoyed the extensive coverage given to our sister parish in Carrollton, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, on their 50th anniversary.

Many years ago, when my parents lived in Franklin, Ga., they went to Mass there, as well as making their regular trips to St. George’s in Newnan. When they did visit OLPH, they regaled us with stories of the legendary (to them) pastor of the parish, Msgr. Michael Regan, who pastored the parish, I think, for 24 years.

Msgr. Regan’s name was not mentioned in the article. We thought that perhaps, too soon, we forget the stories we were told of that friendly parish priest with all his animals.
