Published: August 18, 2011

ATLANTA—Holy Spirit Preparatory School has named Andrew Shanks as its new cross country coach. Shanks is a 2008 graduate of West Virginia University in Morgantown, W. Va., where he earned a degree in sports management. He is currently working on a master’s degree in exercise science at Georgia State University, Atlanta.

Shanks relocated from Philadelphia to Atlanta to make coaching a primary focus. He has been coaching with Endurance Concepts, an Atlanta-based triathlon coaching firm, for three years.

“It’s an exciting moment for our cross country programs that have experienced tremendous growth and success in the past five years, including state champions at the individual and team levels,” said athletic director Mike Sickafoose.
