Dr. Peter Kreeft To Speak At Roswell Parish

ROSWELL— St. Peter Chanel Church will host the “Jesus Shock Conference” on Saturday, Nov. 14, in the parish’s McNamee Hall. Participants will meet and listen to Dr. Peter Kreeft, professor at Boston College, author and speaker, as he encourages attendees to passionately commit their lives to Jesus Christ.
Kreeft, a professor of philosophy at Boston College and also at the King’s College in New York City, is a regular contributor to several Christian publications, is in wide demand as a speaker at conferences and is the author of over 55 books including: “Back to Virtue,” “The God Who Loves You,” “Heaven, The Heart’s Deepest Longing,” “Everything You Wanted to Know About Heaven” and “Jesus Shock.”
A convert to the Catholic Church from reformed Protestantism, Kreeft earned a bachelor’s degree from Calvin College, a master’s degree a bachelor’s degree from Fordham University, followed by post-doctoral work at Yale University.
Kreeft has received several honors for achievements in the field of philosophy, including the Woodrow Wilson Award, Yale-Sterling Fellowship, Newman Alumni Scholarship, Danforth Asian Religions Fellowship and a Weathersfield Homeland Foundation Fellowship.
The “Jesus Shock Conference” will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 3 p.m. Admission is $15 online and $20 at the door.
