MARIETTA—Catholic Charities Atlanta is holding a meeting for those interested in forming a ministry in their parish to respond to the emotional and mental health needs of military service members active and returning from Iraq and Afghanistan and their families.

The meeting will be held in Nolan Hall at St. Ann Church, Marietta, on Wednesday, Oct. 21, from 7 to 9 p.m. Clergy, mental health providers, service members and family members affected, and those in the parish interested in this special lay ministry are invited.

Representatives from Care for the Troops, a local interfaith organization established in Georgia, will present a short program and answer questions about mental health problems of returning Georgia veterans and how local faith communities can support them.
