To the Editor:

Thank you for your weekly column by Lorraine Murray. Every week I search out her column in both The Georgia Bulletin and The Atlanta Journal Constitution.

It seems that every week something in her column touches my heart, and there are always a couple of her columns attached to the front of my refrigerator.

Today’s column, ‘I Really Am My Mother’s Daughter’ (The Georgia Bulletin, May 7) brought a tear to my eye! Like the author I vowed that I would never repeat certain maternal expressions and then laugh when they come out of my mouth. My own mother has been with the Lord for 27 years and she was just 66 when she passed away. I was 30 years old and not at all ready to say goodbye to my mom.

Thank you, Lorraine, for making me laugh and cry with the same column.
