St. Pius Hosts Four-School Track & Field Meet

St. Pius X sophomore Nikita Kirillov fails on his pole vault attempt at 15 feet, but his 14 1/2 foot vault was good enough to take first place. Our Lady of Mercy’s Jonathan Shupenus and St. Pius’ Nick Miller tied for second at 11 1/2 feet.

St. Pius X High School sophomore Shelby Ashe finished first in the girls shot put with a throw of 35 feet, 2.75 inches. Her teammate senior Megan Fannon finished second with a throw of 30 feet, 4 inches. They also finished first and second, respectively, in the girls discus throw.
