Spring Dance Concert

The St. Pius X High School Spring Dance Concert, “Movement Techniques,” will take place Friday and Saturday, March 27 and 28, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, March 29, at 2 p.m. in the Msgr. Terry Young Center for the Performing Arts at the school. Tickets are $8.
There will also be a special one-hour performance geared toward children on Saturday, March 28, at 1 p.m. Tickets are $5 for this performance. Children will have the opportunity to interact with the dancers on stage and tour backstage.
Choreography by Martha Goodman, Charlotte Foster, Clay McCloud, Xavier Welcher, as well as student work and choreography by program director, Lisa Martin, will be featured in the show.
Also, new to the program this year will be the incorporation of technology with dance. In the fall of 2008, upper level students participated in a dance film project, utilizing the MovieMaker computer program. These original dance films will be shown at each performance.
