OLM Wrestler Captures Gold At Bowdon Tournament

Our Lady of Mercy senior wrestler Clint Ford wears the gold medal he earned during competition at the Bowdon High School tournament. Ford wrestles in the 119-pound class and he was the only member of his team to place in the Jan. 31 tournament.
FAIRBURN—Our Lady of Mercy High School wrestler Clint Ford won first place in the 119-pound weight class at the Bowdon High School tournament Saturday, Jan. 31. Ford was the only Mercy wrestler to place. He’s one of four seniors on the team, which includes 10 wrestlers and four managers.
“Clint has placed in every tournament he wrestled this year and is having a super senior season,” said Mercy wrestling coach Francis Giknis.
The 19-team tournament, with large and small schools, provided Mercy an opportunity to tune up for the upcoming area tournament Feb. 13-14 at Gordon-Lee High School, Chickamauga.
